The warmth of the rising sun, the pitter-patter of the waterfall in the distance, and the chirping of the birds awakened my senses, making me realize I had finally fell asleep. The excitment of the adventure to come made sleep slow to come. With the night behind me and a new day in front of me, I, Gracefulheart, was ready to live my day to the fullest.

I looked up at Gracefulheart calmly. "Hello, Gracefulheart!" I mewed politely. I was a little fat and chunky but I was pregnant with 8 kits. "Today I move to the nursery, but I might be kitting soon, I'm a little worried about it though," I say to her. Trying to comfort myself mainly. Gracefulheart was a great friend since I first joined as a scared young, pregnant warrior.
The memories of the scary day, when creatures killed Grey, I just ran away and came here. At least Gracefulheart understood me a little better. I'll never forget Grey, he was my dream, but the days long went by, and I was here with kits and a best friend. No need to worry of it. I could always see him in my dreams.

After stretching for a few minutes I realized my muscles were a little stiffer than usual. It could be one of two things, restless sleeping, or a storm was brewing off in the distance. The sky looked crisp and clear off to the East but to the West it looked a little threating which dampen my spirit.
As I walked out of the den I looked down and Starheart was the first to greet me. The rest of the clan was still asleep but I could see sleep escaped her due to the discomfort of the kits she carried. Never having kits myself, I still tried to reassure her with a gentle nuzzle as I approached her. "Good morning, Starheart" "I'm glad you have decided to move to the nursery....finally." "It's safer and drier in there and it looks as if a storm is threating to drench us".

"Hm. As I said before, I feel more loyal to the clan here, but I guess I should be moving." Looking up to the sky I could scent the rain, "The dens will keep most of us fine, I think we'll be safe." I struggled a little to get up, and I slightly waddled out of the den with Gracefulheart, "What are you doing today?" I asked as I waddled out to the nursery.

~Hawkmask~
He came strutting in playfully, paws clasped in the air as he landed on the ground lightly but with a thud all the same. A single leaf was held, splintered between his extended claws. This was something only a kit would do, and here you had a pleasant-faced tom attempting to catch a leaf. But he was not ashamed. Instead he stood right up and brushed the leaf from his paws. His light green eyes gazed around the den before fixating on the she-cats. One was waddling out. Wow, she was on the big side. Pregnant. The tom smiled. Great, even more little cats in WealdClan! Okay though, honestly he had no idea in the world who these cats were. And they were his clanmates. He decided, maybe, he could start up a little chat. Unless they were leaving of course.
"Hello you two! Nice to meet you, I'm Hawkmask." The tom meowed vividly, giving his dusky brown chest a quick lick, his chocolate brown face studying them with leaf-colored eyes dancing with a playful, kit-like fire.

I seemed to stop hearing the new cat's voice, "Oh hello Hawkmask, I'm starheart and this is my best friend Gracefulheart." I purr softly looking at him. He had a nice clean perlt it seeme, but I never remembered him joining. Maybe Icestar knows or I just haven't noticed! He looked as old as me, probably older!
My belly swollen and me being a little chunky thing instead of my usually sleek and strong body. I felt hot with embarrassment and I licked my chest a little. Being pregnant as an apprentice-aged pregnant she cat, I was allowed a warrior. I'm only 12 moons old now...I felt old but young, and awfully awkward.

The tom let out a ringing purr. It had a very nice sound to it, as well as his voice. His tone was smooth and warm, playful and even a little flirtatious. "Why hello there Starheart and Gracefulheart. Such beautiful names, they fit well!" Hawkmask commented, his sage eyes dancing with a fire that was brilliant and young at the same time. He was excellent at playing and creating conversations. As well as... flirting when it need be. It was just natural for him, he didn't intend to flirt in any dangerous manner. He smiled, gave his dark chocolate chest a quick lick, and then watched the she-cats again.

I chuckled a little, he was a little funny. He could be a great friend, and I could get along with that. But then it hit me harder than a thrown rock from twolegs. Ice seemed to suddenly freeze over my heart and my naturally blue eyes, I fell turn almost black. Like emptiness sucked me away. Hollow and all I heard was the memories of Grey, and the Bloodshed day. Guilt and fear prickled my spine and a growl arose from my throat. One I didn't want.
Suddenly snapped into reality I shook me head from a space out. Grey. It all hurt me like stones, black. iced. stones. I looked at him with my normal cheery look and smiled a little. Graceful heart was playful and adventurous maybe they could be great friends too!
Suddenly a jolting shock struck me. It startled me-horrifying! My fur was on end and suddenly I was weak..not weak..in early labor.

A quizzical expression passed over the tom's features. His facial expression twisted whether in fear, agony or confusement no one knew. His dark mud mask seemed to darken, his light dusky fur bristled. Almost, well at least his neck fur stood on end and his sage viridian eyes gleamed. In almost no time the tom was by the she-cat Starheart, nudging her with his nose. "You okay?" He asked, eyes flashing. He hardly knew her, but he could tell that something had just happened. But then she was pregnant, so this was probably natural. Gracefulheart still had not yet spoke.

((OOC; Gracefulheart will come on soon I'm sure))
Starheart suddenly was panting, seeing the tom looking at her. She couldn't speak, she was a little in stress. Suddenly the words seeped out, "Early...L-Labor!" Her hoarse voice was calm and it didn't show anything bad. Her fur rippled and muscles tensed, she began to think and calm herself down. With a jolting shock, she was able to push the first kitten out.
"Get it breathing! Lick it's fur the wrong way to keep it warm!!!" Her voice got a little cracked as her muscles stiffened, the next kit was coming.

A smaller looking tom padded slowly and reluctantly into the den. His big brown eyes searching the place for any danger. He was new to the clan and his light grey fur made him feel like he was standing out compared to everyone else. He swiveled his ears around and didn't hear anything suspicious.
He jumped in surprise when the she cat next to her was shouting that she was going into labor. He backed away in shock as he just witnessed a live birth right on his first day here. His heart was pumping a thousand times faster than normal and his breathing quickened. He didn't expect to react to this in such a harsh way. He slowly slunk away to the edges of the den to go find an empty nest. His eyes still staring at the she cat and her first kit, knowing that more should be coming. He slumped in an empty nest that was hidden in the den's shadow and felt content there. He laid down comfortably in it and laid his head on his paws, the shouting still ringing in his ears. He placed his paws over his ears to try and get the ringing out. He shook his head when it was gone and placed his head back on his paws.

I was worried about the new cat, but I couldn't pay much attention, I felt a 2nd jolt and the 2nd kitten come out. My panting breaths kept me breathing, I tried to speak, "I-I've got 8 kits," I try to say to them. Really hoping they could take this, and I could live. Inhale, Exhale, Inhale and then Exhale. However my location was bringing on stress build. I felt pressured and weird as it was, but now I was giving birth infront of the whole clan, and a lot of toms. I began to really worry.
-Icestar was hearing noises from outside his den. In curiousty he wondered out to check on his clan. Only then did he see Starheart bithing right there in the warriors' den. Rushing towards them he tried to help a little.
My Blue eyes a little wide, she was early indeed! The weather didn't even seem good so far! I began to worry, but took a deep breath, I was chosen a leader for a good reason. I can handle this. Yet she told me earlier, this was 8 kittens! I got the 2nd kit breathing and was licking it's fur. I wanted to help the seemingly disstressed queen. I knew she must feel uneasy about all of us, but she didn't have a good chance of living. Especially for her age and that number of kits.
--
Taking breaths I was relieved to actually see another cat come. One I could really trust anyways. I did my best to keep calm. A main rule for kitting would to be kept calm. Before I knew it a few jolts I had 2 kits delievered! Now on my fifth I felt I could do this. Thanks Icestar for helping me...

The new tom looked upon these two cats with wide-eyed fear. He had never witnessed a she-cat giving birth and franckly it kind of made him sick to his stomach. He brown eyes soon glazed over as he could feel his stomach reacting to this. He blinked slightly, his eyes going pale and before he knew it, he passed out in his nest. The shortness of breath of the she-cat still hung in his mind.

He wasted no time in the world and soon as over there next to Starheart. His sage green eyes flashed, his chocolate features didn't look very afraid or confused. This process didn't bother him, oddly enough. Instead he bent down, about to lick up the kit when. Except Icestar did instead. Oddly he was consumed by a strangem overpowering feeling at the sight of the helpless kits. This tom wanted a family; badly.
Swinging his dusky, mud colored head up he fixated sage orbs on the tom whom had just fainted. He hadn't even acknowledged his presence yet. A strange frustration gripped him and he ran over and almost pounced on the tom. "Get up you worthless mousedung!" Hawkmask snarled, barring his ivories, ears folding to touch the back of his head as he shoved the tom roughly with a paw. He didn't mean it in a cruel gesture, rather one just of frustration. How could a warrior not handle this?

The grey tom felt a huge weight come on top of him and his shot his eyes open in shock. He gasped as the wind finally went into his lungs. He staggered to his feet and lifted his head, staring at the tom near him. He flattened his ears, "What was that for? I didn't do anything to you or the kits!" He was shocked at himself for even raising his voice like that. He was always a timid and quiet cat.

Starhearts hiss-like whispers hid inside her breath. Blood flowed through her ears, she felt every heart beat, every moment. As though time was slowing, she could feel the blood calm. My glazed eyes whipped with tears that shone softly. Something hit me, and I didn't want it, but what was it? Like a force onto me, a crushing pain, something was?...was?...killing me? No...I'm kitting I can see it! See!!! I see the next 2 kits right there! there are more! SEE!!! I'm fine!! I keep persuading myself, then reality hits me, hard like stone. What' wrong with me? Why am I in a trance? Oh jeez, my head is spinning now...ugh..so...light....head-
-- Just as a fifth kits was born the she cat's head began to swirl. Panic strikes at Icestar. Through his eyes and heart. --
I looked at her, was she going to faint? Oh no, I took some kits as Hawkmask took others. I had to keep her awake. We couldn't stop a kitting procedure! Oh, her head was spinning, but she's almost done she's got 3-2 more. He saw the next kit come, but something was wrong. I peered closely, the kit had blood on the other half of him! Blood! She was Dying! Oh, oh this can't be happening! As Hawkmask took that one, I took the next and the final one, but I was in deep fear, the 8th had been born, the kit was incredibly tiny, even for a kit, and her legs didn't look well.
Suddenly I stopped worring about the kit, it seemed fine, it was alive. However Starheart, lie there, cold and blood was in the birthing area. Was she dead? I couldn't tell! I had to take care of the kits and I couldn't move, same with Hawkmask...are we too late?
-- Starheart has still blood but seems not to be dead. Is she okay?...Find out!
((Lol))

The dusky brown tom barely uttered an apology to the tom whom he had just pounced on, instead he focused his attention on the kits. He took several and started licking them rapidly, feeling only slightly odd. Honestly. He was a tom, not a mother. But he could still help, right?
The muscular brown tom flicked his tail after he finished ruffling up the kits pelts. He gave a glance over at Icestar, his sage green eyes reflected his surroundings. They probably mirrored many of his thoughts also. Some agony lay in the specks. His orbs flashed as he bent down and watched Starheart. Um. Was she dead?
Hawkmask took several steps forward, slowly, and gently bumped the she-cat with a paw. He watched her, seeing if she would move. Lightly he bumped her again, this time flicking her on the nose with a quick, accurate movement. Oh great StarClan, was the cat dead already? Just when he had came in! Just when she had given birth? He tried to wait, resisting the urge to start snarling madly like some sort of crazed beast. He was protective already, and he hardly knew the she-cat. But then he was quite the gentle-hearted one when it came to kits and queens.

Ghostclaw lifted his head as he sensed worry around the den. The kits seemed to be fine but what was worrying him the most was the mother who, apparently moving. He got up slowly from his nest and pushed his way through to the mother. He narrowed his eyes as he was thinking while looking upon Starheart. He lifted his paw slowly and laid in on her neck. He closed his eyes and breathed slowly in and out as he struggled to feel any sign on life. He smiled slightly as he felt the warm blood rush to her ears. He finally turned to the other two cats before saying, "I think she is fine, just passed out from exhaustion." He hoped his analysis was correct, and that she would be alright.

((Switching to 3rd person )
Icestar was glad to hear that news. She was thinner, and she looked much more beautiful. Icestar didnt smeel death or a sickness, and she was breathing a little. He was a little worried for the newly made warrior. I really hope she could get through out all of this. With such friends around, he could trust that it will be good. He let out a beaths, heaving his chest a little. His white fur shimmered blue as sun hit it with the breeze. His crystal eyes turned dark blue, "It's going to be okay." he murmured to them. "Help me carry this all to the nursery." He declared in an order.
His slim body hid the muscles, he slid right underneath the queen and haunches up, he lifted her right up. She has stopped bleeding and seemed fine so far. His muscles really showing now, he was no weakling. He flicked his tail as a signal for them. He was prepared, now it was up to them to help.
