I closed my baby blue eyes as I slipped into the den. The moonlight was raining into the den and I smiled softly. My tail curled around myself as I sat down and looked around. My shoulders were squared, and my pointed ears were pricked. My yellow muzzle was pulled into a soft, lazy smile over the nights events. I had finally gotten my nine lives. The rotting smell of the tree was completely covered by the moss that grew on the inside of the tree and of my nest. I slowly moved to my nest and laid down, curling into it, and closing my eyes.
