The light gray-furred tom raced across the territory and to the Low Valley, sucking at the air and letting the familiar sites of the territory calm him. The warriors had been particularly rough on him, and he struggled to calm his feelings. Silently he cursed himself for being such a patient cat that would hold all of his true feelings, all of his anger, and pain, and irritation inside instead of letting other cats know how he felt. At least he could be alone sometimes, and there was no other time that he would want to be alone more than this.

A grey fluffy but short-haired cat was secretly following the tom. Being denmates as they grew up she knew him well. Greyfeather was sleek and a little mischievous today, and she hadn't talked to him since he became Deputy.
--
My belly hung low to the earth, chasing after him fast and hidden. Suddenly winds shifted, as he drank in air, but then it shifted before he scented me, thank Starclan. Slowly in a creep and crawled up behind him and Tackled him! Ha, I was in a good caring mood, he looked like he needed someone to talk to. My voice leaped right out from my throat and I spoke in a soft tone, "Congratulations Deputy!" I seemed to purr. My soft green gaze in his eyes, I got off so he could get up.
"...uh sorry for the 'surprise' but I haven't seen you in ever since we became warriors, now that you're deputy I feel I lost you!" My voice was a little shy at first, but I seemed to get more calm by the moments.

The gray tom tumbled to the ground as a shape exploded from the bushes, and he snarled, expecting an attack. His claws unsheathed and he just about leaped up, into the air to twist free when the weight was off of him and he heard a voice in his ear. Fury seethed in him as he realized it was a clan mate, and not just any clan mate, a clan mate that he was an kit, apprentice, and warrior with. Can't I just be alone? He thought, hiding his fury, but refusing to say it out loud so he didn't hurt her feelings. He rose to his paws and shook out his fur, closing his eyes, then opening them again before slowly turning to face her. His eyes were clear with forced calmness and he meowed, his tail curling around his paws, "Hey Greyfeather. Being deputy isn't exactly my idea of 'fun' either," he couldn't hide the tiredness from his voice like he did the bitterness, and he flicked his tail back and forth just barely keeping it from lashing.

//Gone Back to 3rd Person\\ She licked his cheek softly, "I wish I could only help you out, you deserve this position but not the stress it brings." she mewed softly to him. She could sense his tire and rage. She put her tail in a lace around his shoulder, "I miss my best friend, something must be going on..." she tried to start off easy on talking to her. She didn't want him to get even more furious of her.
This wind ruffled her fur slightly and the sun set a lighting glow across the sky. She sat down, curling her tail around her paws and her gaze looked at his paws. He wasn't happy, so neither was she. He was like a brother to her, but after ll this time, are they still best friends? Thoughts clouded her hidden face and eyes and she shuffled her paws carefully.
